Dan Sheppard is a 33-year veteran (retired) of the Corpus Christi Fire Department and has been playing the pipes for over 25 years. Dan lives in North Garland and is available to play in most areas of North Texas and beyond.

Dan is a member of North Texas Caledonian Pipes and Drums and Dallas Police Metro Band. Dan also joins impromptu pipe and drum groups made up of firefighters/police officers from agencies throughout Texas, who come together as a mass band to pay tribute to fallen public service heroes at funerals and memorials services.

During his years in Corpus Christi, Dan was a long-time member of First Christian Church and frequently played the pipes as a gift of agape to Walk to Emmaus and Journey to Damascus pilgrims.

Free time is spent enjoying family activities. Dan is a devoted husband, father, and grandfather and on occasion works with his wife on creative projects as “Fly-Boy” at Dreamfly Creations.

He volunteers with Texas Airedale Rescue Team and spends a great deal of time taking long walks, getting into mischief and sharing adventures with his favorite canine buds, “The Bruce” and Glen Fiddich.
