About Dan Sheppard

dan_about copy Dan Sheppard is a 33-year veteran (retired) of the Corpus Christi Fire Department and has been playing the pipes for over 20 years. He now lives in North Garland and is available to play or teach in most areas of North Texas and beyond. Dan is loving this new chapter in the Dallas – Ft. Worth metroplex and the new opportunities to share his love of the great highland bagpipes.

Dan is a member of Brotherhood United, a north Texas pipes and drum band and Texas Fire, a pipe and drum group made up of firefighters from agencies throughout Texas who come together as a mass band to pay tribute to fallen firefighters at funerals and memorials services.

Free time is spent enjoying family activities. Dan is a devoted husband, father, and grandfather and on occasion works with his wife on creative projects as “Fly-Boy” at Dreamfly Creations. He spends a great deal of time taking long walks, getting into mischief and sharing adventures with his favorite canine bud, Guinness, aka “The Goo.”
